Travancore Heritage Hotels in Kerala

Travancore Heritage recently announced its plans to open a three-star property in Puducherry and Kollam at a total investment of Rs 90 crore. The property in Puducherry will be built on the beach and will be operational by March 2009. Out of the 70 cottages, 30 will be private pool villas. It will have a swimming pool, restaurant, a conference hall with a capacity of 250 people, a health club and an Ayurveda centre. The cottages will have the ambiance of old houses with grass on top of each cottage giving it a natural look. The 60-room property in Kollam, which is also a beach property will have 20 private pool villas. It will have modern cottages, a traditional Ayurveda centre, conference hall with a capacity of 250 people, a restaurant and a health club.

The Ayurvedic centre, 'Anandam,' is the in-house brand of Travancore Heritage and has a team of doctors. The ayurveda centre in both properties will have various rejuvenation programmes and therapies for medical conditions ranging from Rs. 500 to Rs. 8,000. The company has still not zeroed in on a name for the properties and will take a decision by the end of this month. Both properties will attract the leisure and conference segments.
